Goodwill Furniture started back in 2009 in a small rented space in Bavdhan, Pune. It was just one man, Tukaram Tupe, a few workers, and a dream — to build sofas that weren’t just good-looking, but genuinely comfortable and long-lasting.
In the early days, Goodwill was a wholesale manufacturer, quietly crafting quality sofas for other showrooms. Tukaram’s focus was simple — make furniture that lasts, that people actually love living with.
By 2014, after years of hard work and word-of-mouth success, Goodwill grew into a private limited company. But something felt off. Our sofas were being sold in fancy showrooms at double the price — putting them out of reach for many families who deserved better.
That didn’t sit right with Tukaram.
So, in 2016, he made a bold move — stopped wholesale completely and opened our doors directly to customers. No middlemen. No inflated prices. Just honest furniture at honest rates. The response was heartwarming. People loved our transparency, and the trust began to grow.
But times changed. The market filled up with sleek, glossy showrooms and too-good-to-be-true offers. People started choosing furniture based on discounts and décor lights instead of quality and service.
Still, we never gave up on what makes Goodwill… Goodwill.
That’s when the next generation — with new ideas and digital skills — stepped in. The goal wasn’t just to “go online.” It was to bring our story, our values, and our craftsmanship to people who still care about quality and comfort.
Our new website became more than a store — it’s a bridge. It connects customers directly to our factory, helping them save time, money, and worry.
Today, Goodwill Furniture isn’t just a business. It’s a family — built by Tukaram Tupe, carried forward by his children, and supported by thousands of happy customers who’ve trusted us with their homes.
Every sofa we make is a reflection of that promise: Honest craftsmanship. Real comfort. Furniture made to last.
When you choose Goodwill, you don’t just buy a sofa — you become part of our story. ❤️
